Die Karriere von Khaled Chaabi alias KC-1 ist eine typische Berliner Geschichte, sowie ein Beispiel der sozialen Funktion des Breakdance: Der Sohn einer syrischen Einwandererfamilie entdeckte sein Talent in Tanzkursen in einem Weddinger Jugendzentrum unter der Anleitung von Mikel von den Flying Steps. Vom Tanzfieber sofort infiziert, wurde er kurz darauf in einer Flying Steps Nachwuchsgruppe aufgenommen. Seit 2005 ist er festes Mitglied der Flying Steps.
