Juste Debout Nordic 2016

Juste Debout is the worlds biggest competition within urban dance with qualifications in every continent. This year, for the first time, the Nordic qualification is happening at Vega in Copenhagen (Denmark) on Sunday 31st January 2016. Dancers from all over Europe will come to Denmark to enter the battles, and the winners of each category qualifies for the final in Paris on 6 March 2016.

Competitors fee:
Competitors registration is free, but you must buy entrance ticket and can only enter in two categories. Please have a look at the information about the tickets.

Prizes:
The winners of each style will advance to the Juste Debout World Final in Paris on 5th and 6th March 2016. They will receive a round trip plane ticket from their choice of Nordic Country (Denmark, Norway, Iceland, Finland or Sweden) to Paris. Transportation from a different departing country will be arranged as long as the cost of the plane ticket doesn't exceed the prices of any of the Nordic Countries.

Registration:
Online registration ends latest on 24th January 2016. It is possible to register at the competition venue (if places left). Registration closes at 12.00 p.m. on the day of the competition. Your registration is not final until you checked in on the event day only reserved by pre-registering online. The organizer reserves the right to limit the amount of participants and end registration before this date. The competition will be filmed and photographed. By sending the registration the contestant grants the organizer the rights to use any video or photo material of the contestant for organizer’s own or commercial purposes. Rules:
The competition will be run according to the official rules of Juste Debout. The same rules will apply at the Paris final. The contest is run as 2vs2 battle in Hip Hop, House, Popping and Locking. In the 2vs2 battles each pair can consist of dancers of same or opposite sex. No limitations/restrictions regarding dancers’ age or nationality. For the battle styles the competition will be run in two parts: Preselections (1 min. showcase per pair) & Battles (8 best pairs in each style from the preselections – 1/4 final battles, 1/2 final battles and final battle). Each dancer has one max. 1 min. run per battle in the 1/4 finals and two max. 1 min. runs per battle in the 1/2 finals and the final. Only one routine is allowed per pair per battle! Doing more than one routine will get you automatically eliminated from the competition! A dancer can attend only one preselection in each style. F.ex. A dancer attending the Hip Hop category in Juste Debout USA may not attend the Hip Hop category in Juste Debout DENMARK. However, he/she may attend the House, Popping, Locking and Experimental categories.

Insurance:
The competitors are not insured by the competition organizer.
