UK B-Boy Championships – World Breaking Finals Head to Manchester in August 2025

Manchester, England – The UK B-Boy Championships, one of the world’s premier breaking competitions, is set to return in spectacular fashion as it brings the World Breaking Finals to Manchester on August 23rd and 24th, 2025. This prestigious event will gather the globe’s top breakers to battle for the coveted titles.

Hosted in Manchester, a city renowned for its rich cultural heritage and vibrant music scene, the scene is set for an epic event as the best Breaking Crews, Solo B-boys & b-Girls battle on the ultimate stage!

Global Talent Takes Center Stage
Expected competitors from over 20 nations, each bringing their unique style will battle, pushing the limits of creativity and physicality.

A Weekend of Hip-Hop Culture
In addition to the battles, the event will offer a celebration of hip-hop culture, including:
- Live DJ sets and MC performances.
- Workshops and masterclasses.
- Street art exhibits and cultural showcases.
- Side battle showcasing other street styles.
- Pre & After Parties.

Day 2: World Breaking Finals
Date: 24 August 2025

RULES:
UK B-Boy Champs is back with its original format: The breaking crew battle (6 v 6), solo b-boy and solo b-girl battles. In the direct elimination bracket, crews and solos will face off head to head, before a panel of 5 judges will decide the winner.

REGISTRATION:
There will be 4 solo spots each for b-boys and b-girls and 8 crew spots for the World Finals bracket for the winners of the Prelims held on August 23rd.

All Solo B-Boys & Solo B-Girls and Crews need to register for prelims to be eligible to participate. You need to register for both categories if you are battling in both solos and crews. Please register ASAP to secure your spot.

Three qualified judges per cypher will decide the winners of the Prelims. The battles will go from open prelims to top 32, top 16 and top 8 battles. Crew will go from open prelims to top 16 with the top 8 crews going through to the World Finals on the 24th.

Additional Prelims Information:
A) The Prelim Competition will be held at Niamos, Nia Centre, Chichester Road, Hulme, Manchester, M15 5EU.Doors open at 12 Midday. Dancers arrive to sign in from 11am / Prelims will start at 1pm sharp.
B) The qualifying crews and soloists will go through to the official UK B-Boy Championships World Finals and take part in all talent programming for the remainder of the event.
C) The Prelim Competition will be open to spectators, with limited capacity.
D) NOTE: Participants registered for Prelims still need to buy official event tickets to attend the final UK B-Boy Championships World Finals event on August 24th, 2025. Participating in prelims DOES NOT GIVE YOU ACCESS TO THE OFFICIAL EVENT.
