1. General Rules: 1vs1 Kids Battles

Online inscriptions are free of charge and open until 12th November 2016. On site inscription are charged with CHF 10.00. Online inscriptions have to be filled in and approved by the legal representative. They will be checked the day of the event, please bring a valid ID. The number of participatnts is limted to 50 per category. Groove reserves the right to adapt the regulations in order to assure the course of the event.

THE CONFIRMATION OF THE INSCRIPTION is done at the day of the event on site. Participants must be on site during the following times:
• up to 8 and 11 years: 10.00 until 10.30 o’clock
• up to 14 and 17 years and B-Girls up to 14 years: 11.00 until 11.30 o’clock

THE AGE CATEGORY depends on the age of the child on 19th November 2016. Besides of the B-Girl contest, all contest are open for boys and girls.
• up to 8 years
• from 9 until 11 years
• from 12 until 14 years
• B-Girls up to 14 years (contest just for girls)
• from 15 until 17 years

THE PROCEDURE – Every dancer does a qualification run. The 16 best are qualified for the battles which is held in knockout mode. Up to the quarter-finals it’s one run per round, the semi-finals and the finals consists of 2 runs.

WILD CARD 2VS2 INTERNATIONAL – The Jury will chose a dancer and will offer a wild card to participate in the international 2vs2 competition. The dancer will be chosen from one of the categories up to 14 years including b-girls. All dancers have to remain on site until 15.30 o’clock to know whom the wild card is given to.

WILD CARDS 1VS1 QUALIFICATION (UP TO 14 YEARS) – The Jury will chose 2 dancers and will offer 2 wild cards to participate in the 1vs1 qualification. The dancers will be chosen from one of the categories up to 14 years including b-girls. All dancers have to remain on site until 15h30 to know whom the wild card is given to.

2. General rules: 1vs1 Qualification Kids

Online inscriptions are free of charge and open until November, 12th 2016. On site inscription are charged with CHF 10.00. Online inscriptions have to be filled in and approved by the legal representative. They will be checked the day of the event, please bring a valid ID. Groove reserves the right to adapt the regulations in order to assure the course of the event.

CONTEST reserved for kids up to 14 years. The age category depends on the age of the child on 19th November 2016.

INSCRIPTION – The number of participants is limited to 16 dancers. In case of online inscriptions a link to a video which shows a battle in which the dancer has participated in 2016 (trailers and showreels are not accepted!) has to be given to Groove. The dancers will be informed at latest on November, 13th 2016 if they’ve been chosen to participate or if they have to do the "Kids Battle".

THE PROCEDURE – Each dancer has 1 exhibition run. At the end of the exhibition , the judges will choose 7 dancers to participate in the 2vs2 international competition.

3. General rules: 1vs1 Qualification Senior

Online inscriptions are free of charge and open until 12th November 2016. On site inscription are charged CHF 10.00. Online inscriptions have to be filled in and approved by the legal representative. Online inscriptions are checked the day of the event, please bring a valid ID. Groove reserves the right to adapt the regulations in order to assure the course of the event.

CONTEST reserved for 18 years and older.

INSCRIPTION – The number of participants is limited to 50 dancers.

THE PROCEDURE – Each dancer has 1 exhibition run. At the end of the exhibition run, the judges will choose 8 dancers to participate in the 2vs2 international competition.

4. – General rules: 2vs2 International Battle

Groove reserves the right to adapt the regulations in order to assure the course of the event.

THE PROCEDURE – There are 32 participants forming 16 duos. 16 of the best international dancers are invited (8 "Kids" and 8 "Seniors"). The two 1vs1 eliminations will allow the amateurs (8 "Kids" and 8 "Seniors") to join the invited dancers. Duos are made up of a kid and a senior, without respect of status (invitation or qualifier) in a draw. The dancers are the only persons allowed on stage. Neither parents, nor coachers, nor friends are accepted on stage.

CASH AND PRICES – In every round from the quarter finals to the finals the winners receive money. In the quarter finals the winners receive 200.- FRS (50% for kid, 50% for senior) per round won, in the semifinal 300.- FRS (50% for kid, 50% for senior) per round won and in the finals 1000.- FRS (50% for kid, 50% for senior) per round won. Thus, the winners of the final receive a total of 1500.- FRS (50% for kid, 50% for senior), the total cash price is 2400.- FRS plus lots of prizes.

5. Prices & gifts

The first two place in each age categorie will receive prices and a trophy in the form of a personalized piece by a graffiti writer.

6. Judging System

The judging system in place is the and8 Judge System which allows dancers and the crowd to know the results displayed on several screens. This allows a clear understanding of the results. The judges criterias are: originality, flow, technique, content, battle attitude and musicality.

7. Respect, attitude and disqualification

The organizer, in accordance with the judges, reserves the right to disqualify any participant with inappropriate or violent behaviour. It is forbidden to touch the opponent. Violent, obscene or degradant gestures to the oppenent or other lead to discqualification.

8. Risk and accidents

Any activity at the event is at the dancers risk. Groove refuses complete responsability for any accidents or injuries before, in the course of or after the event. Groove declines any responsability for lost or stolen items.

9. Image rights

The dancer agree that Groove or third parties authorized by Groove may capture and use audio recordings, video recordings and photographs from the Event and may use the dancers name, image, voice, appearance, performance and biographical material for any purpose (be it commercial, promotional or otherwise) worldwide in all media, forever. However, Groove shall not use this material for any above-the-line marketing or merchandising.

Groove will be enabled to use, broadcast, screen, display, reproduce and/or make available to the public the material captured during and in relation to the event in any and all media, including but not limited to radio, television, cinemas, events, data carriers and the worldwide web. Groove will be entitled to make any alterations, intermissions, cuts or other modifications in and to the material and to use such altered material without restrictions. Furthermore, Groove is allowed to transfer the granted rights to any third party.

The dancer has not the right to approve any of the material and might not be named as a participant in the Event. The dancer also do not expect to gain financially from appearance in any event-related material.
