Khalil Abdel Safi Chabouni aka Khalil

After he discovered breakdance on a Sunday in the year 2000, while attending the famous Battle Off The Year in his hometown, Montpellier, Khalil Chabouni aka Khalil began dancing at 12 with the likes of Vagabonds or Body Talk Crew. After a few years of practicing, he managed to set up a solid technical background despite his young age, and became part of one of the most revered crew in France, Legiteam Obstruxion, quickly becoming one of the very best French breakdancers (Champion of France before he was 18…).

Rather accustomed to the team battles since he’s been moving with the LO crew, he was looking forward to enter the Red Bull BC One circuit in the hope of adding some solo titles to his long list of team awards. His dazzling introduction at the Red Bull BC One France in 2011 in Lyon confirmed his ability to represent a new generation in full rise. Finally losing a few months later in the half finals of the European qualifications to Lagaet, winner of the battle in Barcelona, he had not said his last word : the long list of awards he won during the last season, especially his victory at the B-Boy France 2011, led him to get a direct entry ticket to the European qualifiers in Rotterdam. There, he will join the two Vagabonds, Mounir and Abd-L, the two winners of the Red Bull BC One France 2012.

Known for his technical skills, his committed style and his unique twists, the young champion already has a tremendous planning for the months to come: after the European Red Bull BC One qualifiers, he will attend many prestigious battles all along the year, including Beijing’s K.O.D. in May 2013. But in the meantime, his name may shine at the top of the game: he has the best chances of successfully passing the Rotterdam test and getting his ticket to the Red Bull BC One world finals in Rio. Who knows ?
