Breaking Initiative: Gloves up, Brooms Down

Gloves up, Brooms Down, Olympic Breaking Initiative will be offered for the first time in your area. The initiative will offer six-week dance program beginning June 10th to July 17th, every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 3pm to 4:30pm at the Downtown Library.

With the recent inclusion of breaking (most commonly known as breakdancing) in the 2024 Summer Olympic programming, this initiative aims to give dedicated mentees a competitive advantage and connect them to opportunities within the larger Hip Hop genre community. Programming will serve Orange County youth, ages up to 25, by engaging them in the Hip Hop community and providing opportunities for growth and development. The culminating event will showcase the achievements of the participants and bring together the community in support. We have an excellent team of professional artists, Olympic trainers, and celebrities serving the project!
