International Break Dance Event (IBE) 1999

In September 1999 the second edition of IBE featured a legendary battle between the Rock Force Crew (USA) and The Family (France). About a year before at the 1998 Battle of the Year World Championships the Rock Force Crew won the world title against The Family after a controversial judges decision. Just one week before the 1999 World Championships both crews settled their dispute at IBE. The battle turned out to be thrilling gladiator fight, on the Nighttown dancefloor, amongst the crowds, without judges, time limits or any special rules. The Rock Force vs The Family battle turned out to be a hightlight for breaking in the late nineties and put IBE on the map of extablished international breakdance events.
