DF Zulu Breakers

DF Zulu is an artistic expression of social power it has to transform opinions, vandals in artists, destruction collective consciousness, depreciation on self-esteem, violence in peace. It is much more than a group of young break dancing or doing graffiti, is the union of ideals of a culture that is spreading in the streets, that is aware of the needs and difficulties of the people of the periphery, which uses art and creativity to raise awareness and enhance the individual that society ignores. The DF Zulu group emerged in 1989 in Ceilândia, with intent to radiate values affirmation of black identity, social awareness, peace, friendship, solidarity and citizenship, using elements of hip-hop culture. It was created by a group of friends who met in the need to do something for the community where they lived, as the violence grew increasingly and young people who had no options for fun had just engaging in illegal practices and all forms of violence.
