Bgirls do it better III Jam Edition

For the past two years we have successfully organised a unique event that the Slovenian dance scene had never witnessed before: Around the date of the International Women's Day (8th of March) we have held an event that is aimed specifically for all the girls and women in hip hop.

Our goal is to help female dancers from all over the world to get to know each other, give them an opportunity to show what they're made of and raise the general level of female participation in hip hop.

We dare say that these events have had a positive impact on the vibe of Slovenia's as well as whole Europe's bgirl scene.

The success and positive feedback inspired us to the point of transforming what was then a once-in-a-lifetime event into an annual jam. And so we are proud to announce that the next Bgirls Do It Better will take place in Ljubljana, Slovenia on Saturday 5th of March 2016.

How is it going down in 2016?

For the third edition, we want to present Bgirls Do It Better JAM Edition for the first time. It will be focused on dancing itself, in the form of jamming and cyphers, combined with getting to know each other. We will have our own GOR DJs to provide the music. This time we present you two cypher based categories!

CYPHER QUEEN 7-TO-SMOKE

During the jam we will pick 8 bgirls that represent best in the cyphers. The chosen 8 "Cypher Queens" will then compete in the 7-to-smoke category. Winner of the 7-to-smoke takes home 100€ and super special BDIB price goods provided by our awesome sponsors. On top of that the winner of the Cypher Queen 7-to-smoke will receive a trip to Leipzig, Germany to the finals of QUEEN 16 on 22nd of May 2016 and a spot in the top 16 bgirls!

BONNIE & CLYDE ON THE SPOT

All the bgirls that enter the jam will recieve a Bgirls Do It Better sticker at the entrance. With the sticker they will have to keep their eyes open in the cyphers and look for the perfect bboy to become their battle pair. When a bgirl finds the adequate bboy, she must hurry and slap that sticker on him as fast as possible, so everybody else knows he’s "taken". They will then compete together in a 2vs2 battle! Winners of the Bonnie & Clyde category will receive some super special BDIB price goods provided by our awesome sponsors.
