Electro Rock 1985

In 1985, Capitol Radio's DJ Mike Allen, the godfather of Hip Hop in the UK organised an amazing night of Hip Hop mayhem at London's Hippodrome venue, featuring the best of the UK's breakdance crews, rappers, body poppers and DJs, many of whom went on to be hugely successful. The show was also blessed wth the presence of some of NYC's finest in a non stop action packed nite that perfectly captures this unique and truely phenomenal period in British Hip Hop. The movie came out on VHS in 1985 and has been deleted since 1986. The following artists feature:

Goldie!), Mastermind Roadshow (The DJ team behind the classic Street Sounds Electro mix LPs) Loose Bruce and the Street Elite (one of NYC's top crews, up there with RSC and NYCB), City Limits Crew (feat. 'Paul' from Eastenders!) Up-Rock, Bass and Treble, Zodiac, Xtreme Team (Nottingham Rock City Crew) and of course the MIGHTY AFRIKA BAMBAATAA performing live in the big finale.
