The finals of the world's largest 1on1 street dance battle was born in Japan in 2005 as "DANCE@LIVE".
Dancers meet one-on-one and improvise one move at a time to music played by a DJ. Of course, only the DJ knows the songs being played. Simple rules: whoever gets the most JUDGE votes wins.
The qualifying round will be held in seven regions across the country: Hokkaido, Tohoku, Hokuriku, Kanto, Chubu, Kansai, and Kyushu. The champions who have won the fierce battles will gather to compete for the championship at Ryogoku Kokugikan, the hall of fame of Japan's national sports. There are 6 categories. "4STYLES" of HOUSE, BREAKING, HIPHOP, ALL STYLES. All styles battle "KIDS" for junior high school students and younger. RIZE is a crew battle between universities and vocational schools. The total prize money for dance battles in all categories is 4.3 million yen. Every year, it continues to produce Japan's strongest heroes in the street dance world.
In addition to dance battles, this is a monster event where a showcase of dance studios, high school dance clubs, dance vocational schools, university students and adult dance circles, and even a dance competition to decide the top high school dance club will be held simultaneously in all areas.
