Jason was a member of the Manchester-based Street Machine breakdancing crew and he first tasted fame when he landed a role on the late 80s dance music TV show Hitman and Her hosted by music mogul Pete Waterman. When the band split, Jason studied acting and starred in a Channel 4 mini-series and also performed on stage in London. During their time apart, Jason also studied psychology, biology, history and sociology and travelled across Europe and America. On Take That’s return, Jason performed lead vocals for the first time on the song Wooden Boat and also now often appears on stage playing the guitar – a skill he first picked up during the making of Take That’s number one hit Babe in 1993.
