The Movement "Arena Battle"

On the 6th and 7th of September 2019 the "movement arena" on the Münsterplatz in Basel will be the urban Mecca of Switzerland.

At the 11th edition of Jugendkulturfestival Basel (JKF) 2019, due to the "movement arena" new wind will be brought
into the festival structure. A big and versatile program is shown. Local artists and up-and-coming talents find a place to be
present and express themselves artistically in the arena.

The arena is a collaboration of the nonprofit associations TheMovement and Jugendkulturfestival Basel (JKF).

THE MOVEMENT ARENA BATTLE

BATTLE FORMAT:
The movement Battle in "the movement arena" at the JKF 2019 challenges the most creative side of the dancers of urban styles and offers an entertaining spectacle for all. In teams the dancers compete 2vs2 against each other.
The Battle offers space for mixing styles, freestyle performance and applying various techniques. At least one dancer of the
crew should have a background as a B-Boy or B-Girl. The movement arena battle will be one of the biggest highlights at the JKF 2019!
