THE FESTIVAL BATTLE OF THE YEAR FRANCE IS BACK AND WITH NEWS !!

In addition to the main event which takes place at the Zénith Sud, the “A Change Of Direction” festival aims to encourage and transmit creativity and interactivity with the public. Two of the main missions of Hip Hop Culture. This program consists of organized events but also leaves room for informal and improvised meetings. Thus, in addition to the evening at the Zénith, free entertainment will take place throughout the previous weeks in Montpellier and in the Occitanie Region.

Organized by the Attitude association since 2001, the essential event of French Hip Hop, the BOTY is back after two years of absence with a new formula and many new features.
Always attentive to the evolutions of Hip Hop Culture, the Battle Of The Year France allows every year the amateur public, as well as the passionate public, to benefit from what breaking and Hip Hop culture produce best throughout the festival that precedes the grand finale.
From May 8 to 15, "Le BOTY" offers a series of internships, residencies and events organized in collaboration with many partners in Montpellier and throughout the Occitanie Region. A series of concerts, shows and breaking battles, all in the open air. The opportunity for the general public to discover this culture, vector of positive values such as sharing, respect and solidarity.
The highlight of the festival, the grand finale of the Battle Of The Year France will take place on Sunday May 15 at the Zénith Sud in Montpellier.
A great show for this closing of the festival, with more than 130 dancers gathered on stage, who will reveal to the public the fruit of their work through choreographic shows and battles. Finally, the Battle Of The Year France is also a whole program in the DOM-TOMs, with qualifications and festivals organized in Mayotte and Reunion as well as a "Culture and Transmission" program, which aims to bequeath to the younger generations all the know-how learned and developed by the elders!
At the end of the qualification of BOTY France, the crews, crews kids, B-Girls and B-Boys will participate on December 4, 2022 in the International final which will now take place in Okinawa (Japan) until 2024.
