For the seventh year in a row, Freedom City takes over the town! Utrecht's largest Hip Hop festival, with events at TivoliVredenburg, De Helling, Theater Kikker, and a club night at Ekko, brings you the best dance battles, DJ sets, and live performances once again this year. Freedom City celebrates Hip Hop culture, where the energy of the street and the stage come together.

During Freedom City 7, we fill the city with talented dancers and rappers from all over the world who want to share their skills and passion with you. We celebrate the freedom of self-expression and provide a space for everyone to be who they are.

With a broader program than ever, this year dance and music are used to break down barriers and connect people. With spectacular dance battles, theater, and live performances, you can fully enjoy the Freedom City Festival. Great international talent shares the stage with local artists, going wild together on energetic beats! Talented DJs spin the most danceable genres such as Hip Hop, funk, house, disco, and much more. Expect a weekend where music, dance, community, freedom, love, and passion take center stage!

On Sunday, we crown our champions! Dancers battle for their honour, the grand prize of €1500, and the title of Freedom City Champion. A mix of various street and club styles ensures a diverse array of graceful and explosive movements. In the afternoon, the preliminaries and first battles take place. In the evening, the finals alternate with live music performances and dance shows. Who will become the Freedom City Champion?
