GROOVANOMETRY 2017!

INTRO:

We are back again for another exciting round of unity, jam and having a simply banging good time!
For those who have never touched down at Groovanometry… This will be the 3rd edition and bwoi have we got some things lined up for you guys!
Every year we like to keep things fresh so we change things up a little. At the next Groovanometry we are keeping the same format as cypher qualifications and exhibitions with invited guests from around the UK.

GROOVANOMETRY is a yearly jam to bring together the scene to celebrate our culture HIPHOP. Bringing together good DJ’s, good music, good dancers, good vibes and simply good people. Come and join us! Every year we are getting more and more motivated to make the idea jam for you all and this year we have managed to make Groovanometry FAMILY FRIENDLY! ALL AGES WELCOME, FINALLY!

We have a NEW VENUE with a bigger capacity because last year was straight butterz (disgusting) with the amount of people that sweat boxed the place up. Venue was too small.


NEW CONCEPT IDEA:

The slight change for 2017 is that there will be more of an opportunity for more dancers to qualify for the exhibition and to also encourage people to have more exchanges in the cyphers.

We invite 12 guests for each exhibition-

-8 vs 8 Breaking
-8 vs 8 Hiphop/ Popping

which means there will be ‘4 CYPHER KINGS/ QUEENS’ BUT wait… It’s not as easy as that. During the CYPHER K/Q qualification there will be ‘GHOST JUDGES’ who will decide the top 8 dancers and will be given a ‘GROOVANOMETRY NECKLACE’ with a number on the back and the GHOST JUDGES will match two dancers with the same number, for example the number 1 will battle another number 1, 2-2 3-3 4-4… which they’ll have a cypher call out 5 rounds, the judges will then decide the top 4 who will be the CYPHER K/Q and will join the invited guest in the 8 vs 8 Exhibition Battle.

With the high interests from international dancers coming over for this jam, we are announcing the cypher qualification to be ‘OPEN’ it will everyone a chance! Plus it will spice things up!
