We're pleased that Funky-J agreed to provide us with a workshop. She is one of the most successful Locking dancers worldwide. She also won several times the locking competition at the JUSTE DEBOUT. Locking is a form of dance that developed in the early 1970s on the U.S. West Coast. Locking dancers choreographed and danced regularly in music videos and stage shows for stars such as Michael Jackson, Madonna, Janet Jackson, and later Justin Timberlake, etc. Locking moves can be considered the foundation of all modern urban dances.The typical locking expression is called "cool" or "comical". A unique opportunity to get to know and to love Locking, or expand one's skillz.

Majid Kessab has been able to win JUSTE DEBOUT, the world's most popular battle in Paris (France) twice in the field of hip-hop, representing Germany. Majid regularly captivates with ingenious floor moves and challenging leveling. That's exactly what his workshop will be about: teaching hip-hop dancers about different levels in dance, developing new concepts and moves that give the dancer more virtuosity. And, of course, always training musicality. This workshop is aimed primarily at all stand-up dancers, but is also excellent for B-Boys and B-Girls!

An always welcome guest is Àkos, aka B-Boy Thunder, member of the legendary Hungarian breakdance crew ENEMY SQUAD. Thunder is one of the founding stars of the European breakdance scene and known for his perfectly executed powermoves and steps and stylez. This workshop is especially for juniors, i.e. kidz and teens ages 8 to 16. Whether you're working on your next powermove or you're looking for flow and style in your toprocks or your steps, Thunder will give YOU the tip to reach the next level.

Mustapha Ajdour aka The Wolfer is strongly recognized for his original moves and wild character. His high energy in battles, mixed with his flow and musicality, is what makes his style unique. Last year he was in the TOP 16 of the Red Bull BC One World Finals, because he won the Austria Cypher second time in a row and he also won the -Last Chance Cypher for the World Finals. The Wolfer is teaching Workshops all over the World and he will give a workshop in Biberach for creativity, musicality, high energy and movement in his Bboy-Workshop. His concepts are very good and free, so he could became the Bboy he is right now. The workshop is about Footwork & Movement.

A workshop especially for coaches, group leaders, and experienced dancers, who care about the performance and the delivery in Cypher as well as on stage, be it as a single dancer or as a crew. Concepts to improve performance, especially presence, from the perspective of the dancer but also from the perspective of one of the world's most famous and renowned jurors is offered in this workshop. ÜBER URBAN DANCEPRIX

URBAN DANCEPRIX 2019 will be held in the Stadthalle Biberach/Riß from 3rd to 5th May 2019. HipHop & Streetdance groups, individual dancers and teams from all over Germany and from neighboring countries will meet to battle and jam. In addition to the show contest, there will be numerous competitions in various categories and constellations throughout the weekend. New in 2019 there will be battles for kids, for mixed teams, for DJs, and for VJs. Everyone is invited to freestyle and have fun. In the evenings, the place to be is Kulturhalle Abdera.
