Alexandra Filippidou aka Alex

Alexandra Filippidou is a movement artist, dance educator & performer currently based in Greece. Her main style is based on & around waving.

From the age of 8 till today she has been trained in various dance styles such as ballet, jazz, Latin and street dance styles. Popping became her primary focus and influence for a few years but the immense urge to be able to move freely, experiment with movement & feel free within dance led her into taking a deep dive into the style of "waving”. She started mixing and matching all the different techniques she has been taught through the years & so she has created the individual style she has today & continues to evolve.

The love for creating illusion while also telling a story with movement grew really big on her. It matters deeply to her and it’s one of her main goals to be able to make people feel something when they watch her dance; to move people with her movement.

Nowadays she travels a lot around the globe to teach workshops, classes, judge competitions & share her own philosophy & mindset on waving, dance & movement in general & how everything has a direct connection to life.
