Luka Anakovic aka Lux de Lux

Seeing B-Boys on TV and on the street, the impressed six-year-old Lux de Lux decided that dancing was something he’d like to do try. His family supported his desire, and from then on, Luka Anaković was set on a road to become one of the best B-Boys in his native Croatia. Today, 15 years later, Lux de Lux’s powermoves helped him become the Red Bull BC One Cypher Champion for the second time.

Early in his career, Lux saw an idol in B-Boy The End, but as he grew older, he realised that idols only make you become like them, so he dedicated himself to creating his own style and moves, with originality and creativity in mind. His style mainly consists of powermoves, with occasional footwork, but he prefers the former as they make them feel like he is flying.

This college boy still has a lot to accomplish. Besides his wish to acquire a Master’s degree, Luka is determined in reaching the highest possible level in B-Boying, which includes competing with B-boys from all around the world, and further building the Croatian Hip Hop scene. Luka found another way of expressing himself in the form of DJing, as he is a huge music fan.

For him, Red Bull BC One represents a great opportunity for dancers around the world to compete and learn from the best. Preparing for the Red Bull BC One Eastern Europe Final motivates him to train harder and prove himself as a worthy opponent to other B-Boys in the competition
