Bboyworld Asia Festival 2012

“Bboyworld Asia Festival” and “New Taipei City International Street Dance Competition.” In 2012, these two events were the origin of everything! That year, dancers Mr. Jacky, Mr. Gangyi and I had a cool idea to hold the first international hip-hop carnival in Asia focusing on female dancers and Bgirls, hoping to enhance the dancing atmosphere of the whole girls. With the participation and help of many dancers such as Teacher Aga and Buzztop Dance Company, we have planned a series of competitions such as Citywar, Hustle Play, Eve Festival, After Party, Master Class, Symposium, etc. Ten years ago, it was an unprecedented first time, attracting many, many foreign dancers to participate. At that time, illustrator Blue was invited to create the main visual of the event poster, and we inadvertently used creativity to write the word "female power" on the poster! It is also the first time that such a Chinese term is rarely seen. From now on, the pronoun of "female power" has officially appeared!

I will always remember that the night before the festival was held at the Inhouse lounge bar in Xinyi District. Bgirl Asia One, the godmother of breakdance, was carrying a Taiwanese-style red plastic bag with a few pieces of fruit, and a break-dance bag, which was not popular at the time, was hanging around her waist. She was wearing a Cropped shorts, all of a sudden! Drive a circle in the crowd, and ignore the others to get down and get off the windmill! In this way, the dancers were embarrassed in the nightclub, I thought, I was abroad.

2012.09.29 On the day of the event, the typhoon land warning was issued. We temporarily changed the outdoor venue from the outdoor venue of Ximen Red House to the indoor venue Y17 on the 10th and 3rd floors. I was very impressed. Due to the temporary venue change, the whole event was greatly delayed. It only ended at two or three in the middle of the night, setting the latest in the history of Taiwanese street dance activities!

2012.11.10 Government Bid - New Taipei City International Street Dance Competition was held in the square in front of Banqiao Station. It was the first time for Bboy legend Maurizio to come to Taiwan. He was shocked by his nearly fifty-year-old energy! That year, the four Bboy teams JinJoCrew, FoundNation Crew, Vagabond, and Bboyworld Team did bring very exciting events! Inspirational! 2012 was a new starting point for me. Not long after my son was born, he went back to BST to continue his college degree, part-time, part-time, part-time dancing. At that time, he was breaking up with the original partner of HRC to take over all the company’s affairs, big and small. It was quite hard work! My team and I have been committed to promoting the integration of international competitions with Taiwanese street dance activities, until now.......
